Electremedia just finished up a new store front sign for Brockhaus Jewelry in Norman, OK. We took their well-known typeface logo, and created a 22′ wide, color-changing channel letter wall sign, with a center gem that changes color independently of the letters.
The colors are controlled by a programmable remote, and they can dial in whichever color combinations, fades and speed they choose.
This was the first full color-changing sign we’ve done, where the owner can control the entire sign color, and it took a few tries to get it right. We had to replace a couple of control modules, and upgrade the main controller to function like we needed, and also work correctly with a photocell. Taking a design concept from a typeface to a 22-foot multi-colored illuminated wall sign has its challenges, but we always seem to make it work!
